About Andrée Bernard
Andrée is a landscape designer, arborist, and master gardener who is passionate about creating living spaces that reconnect people with nature.
Early inspiration came from a horticulturist uncle and his rambling, enchanted garden, resplendent with a myriad of botanical treasures. She was later intrigued by the diverse beauty of the gardens she encountered throughout her travels. From these influences, Andrée’s own destiny became clear: to use her innate sense of artistry to create uniquely beautiful and unforgettable gardens—pure celebrations of colour, fragrance, form, and texture.
Andrée worked for years as a horticultural consultant and was also a nursery owner. An award winning recipient for container design at the VanDusen Flower and Garden Show, Andrée has also received numerous awards for residential landscaping. She has been operating her own gardening business since 2005.
Working with Andrée has been like having my own personal fairy godmother for my balcony. She took a big, promising but barren space and transformed it into a magical urban oasis that makes me forget I’m living on a main street with a strip mall across the road! Each spring we put our heads together to decide what new and delicious combinations of plants will grace my pots, and each summer I luxuriate in the lushness of the results. Andrée is just the right mix of responsive and proactive, ensuring I get what I want (fragrance and striking colour combos) while suggesting ideas I wouldn’t have thought of on my own. Plus, in addition to being a genius in the garden, she’s a delight as a person. Andrée and her magic are a permanent part of my landscape now, and of an increasing number of my friends who’ve seen what she can do and have joined the fan club. I recommend Andrée on the highest terms.

I have had the pleasure of working and collaborating with Andrée for the past several years. She has been instrumental in bringing my own vision for my garden to life by creating an outdoor living space, that has ultimately, become an extension of my home.
